HIGHLIGHTS:

• I HAVE BEEN A MEMBER OF THE GREEN PARTY SINCE 2000, I AM AN ACTIVE MEMBER OF THE SAN FERNANDO VALLEY GREENS AND LOS ANGELES GREENS.

EXPERIENCE:

I have been involved in community and progressive activities since 1967, as a member of Hollywood High School SDS, helping with the underground newspaper. I have been an active member of MECHA since 1969. I was a officer and member of La Raza Unida Party, a Third Political party in the Southwest since 1971, which ran candidates for President, Congress State office and local offices. I have been on the Board of Directors of the East Los Angeles Health Task Force, The Sylmar Neighborhood Council, for two years. The San Fernando Valley Fair Housing Council, Founder of the Latino Educational Advisory Council in the Antelope Valley, Latinos for Social Justice and chief organizer of a 500 strong community march, the first in the AV against racist Pete Knight, Assemblyman. I was a member of the Mexican American Education Commission and helped found Los Angeles Mission College. I have also been involved in LULAC, SEIU Executive Council, Local 535 and Political Action Director. Also was a member of the House of Representative of UTLA and Chair of the Chicano Caucus. Also was a two time delegate to the National Education Association. I was a member of American Friends Third World Committee and anti military recruitment member.
