Biographical Highlights
Almost 20 years in corporate financial planning, and now small business owner,
artist and free speech activist. In corporate life I worked in fast paced, chaotic
situations each day that presented constant re-prioritization of duties
in order to consistently perform above standard. Uniting, and focusing,
and inspiring tasks force, team members and inter-department participants were
and remain my strengths.
Editor of Venice Spirit Speaks Newsletter which is collective of artists, performers,
and activists to bring awareness to the celebrations and the challenges on Venice
Boardwalk.
Member of Venice Beach Free Speech Coalition which is a volunteer group of activists
that regularly exercise Free Speech activities on Venice Boardwalk, bringing
awareness about the challenges that squeeze Free Speech and by default
ignore Commercial Vending. Activities involve engaging with CD 11's
Council person and team, LA Park and Recreation, LAPD, and Artists, performers
and vendors to bring out positive change and preserve the 1st Amendment rights
of all on Venice Boardwalk.
Member of Homeless Against Homelessness. A grassroots group of activists that
advocate, educate and assist homeless within Venice. I, in addition to other
members and groups, spoke recently at the Coastal Commission Meeting in June
2009 against the City of LA's proposal to implement Overnight Parking District
Permits. The Commission voted 9 - no to 1- yes against the City's request
which was a big win for our community.
3) Please describe your vision for
serving as GPUS Delegate including addressing the job description for GPUS Delegate.
Because there are an expanded
number of delegate and alternate positions allotted the California delegation
and it is in the interest of all Greens in California to be fully represented,
I am interested in serving in the process
that the GPUS is engaged in, especially in the nomination of the Green Party
US presidential candidate.
