Green Candidates in 2006

Fifty-nine California Greens ran in November 7th General Elections, including twelve incumbents. The candidates listed below include those that received the endorsement/support of their local, county and/or the state Green Party. For those candidates with a website, the link is under the candidate's name.

At the Lake Tahoe plenary, the GPCA agreed upon the following positions:

• No on 83 - Sex Offenders. Sexually Violent Predators. Punishment, Residence Restrictions and Monitoring. Initiative Statute.
• No Position on 84 - Water Quality, Safety and Supply. Flood Control. Natural Resource Protection. Park Improvements. Bonds. Initiative Statute.
• No on 85 - Waiting Period and Parental Notification Before Termination of Minor's Pregnancy. Initiative Constitutional Amendment
• No Position on 86 - Tax on Cigarettes. Initiative Constitutional Amendment and Statute
