Notes from International Protocol (IP) Meeting

San Francisco Plenary, March 27, 28 - 2004

June 4, 2004

Attending: Louis LaFortune, Bob Smith, Genevieve Marcus, Mike Feinstein, Suzanne Baker, Sanjiv Kapoor, Paul Kirsch, Mitch Smith, Sanda Everette, Chuck O'Neil, Michael Ritter, Tian Harter, John Harter, Elisabeth Green, John Morton, Fred Hosea.

Introduction: Currently, Sara Amir and Fred Hosea are IP co-coordinators, and Louis LaFortune is new CC liaison to the IP. Fred introduced possibility that IP may expand its role beyond hosting, to involve California GP members more in international issues, policy, and actions - from both California and national/GPUS International Committee perspectives. Sara is a GPCA delegate to the GPUS/IC, and Fred is an Observer, so we should have a good opportunity to be better informed about GPUS/IC activities and develop a constructive role that supports the GPUS/IC. Mike Feinstein gave some valuable background on previous IP role and activities as a hosting body.
