Green Party of California to hold state convention in Sylmar, will consider initiative to ‘dramatically' raise California minimum wage

SYLMAR (May 20, 2005) – The Green Party of California – holding its Spring state convention Saturday and Sunday here – will consider a myriad of crucial issues, including support for a universal health care proposal and the sponsorship a statewide initiative to dramatically raise the state's minimum wage.

The GPCA meeting – which will bring more than 100 delegates from throughout California to Sylmar – will be held at Los Angeles Mission College, 13356 Eldridge Ave.

A news conference is scheduled Sunday, at 12 Noon at the convention. Other media availability upon request.
