Background: The Coordinating Committee schedules its annual retreat in January. This year the GPCA will also hold a General Assembly in January.
Proposal (Feinstein): That the Coordinating Committee hold its annual retreat around the San Diego General Assembly — either one day before, one day after, or both, and request that the San Diego County Green Party identify a suitable venue.
Amendment (group, accepted as friendly): That a straw poll be taken on the call and input solicited after the call from other Coordinating Committee members

8) Decision: Approval of Ranked Choice Voting and No Other Candidate language for inclusion in SGA elections (Bylaws Committee) five minutes
Background: Regarding election of Coordinating Committee members, GPCA Bylaws 8-4.3(b) states that "the election as it is posted to the Standing Green Assembly shall include a full and detailed explanation of Ranked Choice Voting, an explanation of the No Other Candidate option, and an encouragement that delegates make their choices seriously and a reminder that they do not have to fill all seats unless they feel there are enough qualified candidates.” http://www.cagreens.org/bylaws/2013-03-23#Section_8-4_Election. Currently the GPCA has no such approved language.
