Confirmation: Doug Barnett as GPCA Treasurer

Background: GPCA Bylaws Section 4-6 Treasurer states "The Treasurer shall have the duties and responsibilities as defined in the Fiscal Policy. The term of the Treasurer shall be two years, beginning in odd-numbered years. The Treasurer shall be nominated by the Coordinating Committee and subject to confirmation by the General Assembly. Coordinating Committee members are not eligible to serve as Treasurer. The Coordinating Committee shall immediately fill any vacancy in the office of the Treasurer, subject to confirmation by the next meeting of the General Assembly."
At its April 2, 2015 teleconference, the Coordinating Committee nominated Doug Barnett for a new term as GPCA Treasurer.
Barnett was first elected as Liaison to the Secretary of State by the General Assembly in May 2012 to fill the remainder of the 2011-2013 term, and then was re-elected in June 2013 to a new full two-year term.
