Proposal: Bylaws Interpretation: Extend deadline to apply for GPCA delegate status to GPUS 2016 Presidential Nominating Convention (Coordinating Committee)

Background: GPCA Rules and Procedures states that applications to be PNC delegates are due 60 days before the primary, which in 2016 would have been April 8. However notification to apply to be a delegate did not go out until two weeks before the. The three members of the GPCA Delegate Selection Committee have agreed they can work with a May 22 deadline.  The Coordinating Committee has made this interpretation subject to General Asssembly approval, and has notified the various campaigns of this May 22 date and this date has also been sent to the GPCA Inform list of county contacts. As of May 8, many applications have been received.
