Greens in Fall 2017 elections

At least six California Greens ran in fall 2017 local elections, with five elected, including four incumbents*. All elections on November 7, except if otherwise noted.

School Board (3)

Angelia Hillman, Board of Trustees, Area 5, Klamath Trinity Joint Unified School District (Humboldt County) incumbent
One candidate for one seat   ELECTED

Jeffrey Dean Schwartz, Governing Boardmember, Arcata School District, Arcata (Humboldt County) incumbent
Three candidates for three seats   ELECTED

Rama Zarcufsky, Governing Boardmember, Maple Creek School District (Humboldt County) incumbent
Two candidates for two seats 

Water Board (1)

William Stokem, Board of Directors.  Mendocino County Waterworks District II Granite Bay (Mendocino County)
One candidate for one seat - August 29 election  ELECTED

Community Services District (1)

Scott Kender, Board of Directors, Redway Community Services District (Humboldt County) incumbent
Two candidate for two seats   ELECTED

Neighborhood Council (1)

Lawrence Ziese, Community Interest Representative, Hermon Neighborhood Council, Los Angeles (Los Angeles County) - Endorsed by the Green Party of Los Angeles County
2nd/3 for 1 seat; 23 votes, 22.8% - August 3 election

* Inclusion on this list does not imply endorsement. Endorsements are made by the county Green Party in question and are listed below where they have occured. Please note that through a change in state law, many school district elections were changed from odd-numbered years to even-numbered years, with current terms ending in 2017 extended to 2018.  The terms of five Green school board incumbents were extended to 2018 in this way.
